Two passes
Everything is sorted first, fast: what it is, who it concerns, what year. Then every document is understood in full, current ones first, so the things you are likely to ask about are answerable soonest.
Hints first
Folder names, tags, notebooks and correspondents from the old system are passed to Thaw as hints. Nothing becomes a fact until it is confirmed from the page.

People, vehicles and properties appear as they are found. A timeline by year fills in. Then the checkup.
Nothing to review
There is no "review these 200 items" step. Anything uncertain is filed with a flag and surfaces one at a time, later, if they ever matter.
