Do I need a card to start?
No. Sign up with your name and email, and the first 14 days come with everything in Family. A card is asked for only when you choose a paid plan.
What happens after the 14 days?
Everything you filed stays, and what was understood stays understood. From then on the free plan applies: 100 documents sorted, 25 understood, ten questions, and no watched mail or folders. Move up any time and it all comes back.
What if my first 14 days brought in more than 100 documents?
They all stay, sorted, and Thaw keeps showing what you have and what is missing. Adding more takes a plan.
What is the difference between sorted and understood?
Sorted means Thaw knows what a document is, who it concerns and its main date, which is enough to show what you have and what is missing. Understood means every fact and date pulled out, each date turned into an item with what to do, and the document ready for Ask.
Is anything metered?
No. There are no credits to buy and nothing is counted. Paid plans have a fair-use ceiling in the terms, set well above what a busy household uses, and above it every document is still understood in full and Ask keeps answering.
Are my documents used to train AI?
Never. Thaw sees a document to file it and to answer your questions, and identifying numbers are blanked before any page is indexed. The security page has the rest.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from Settings. Cancelling a paid plan keeps every document and drops the account to Free once it fits Free's 100 documents; until then it stays on the paid plan, or you export and delete.
Can I export and leave?
Any time, on any plan, including free. Originals in a folder tree with your facts alongside, or a live copy in your own Google Drive or Dropbox.
Can I invite a friend?
Yes: a free month for you both. Your link is under Settings. Your friend's month starts when they sign up, and yours when they move to a paid plan, up to twelve a year.
