Inbox and email-in

Documents arrive on their own.

Every family and business gets its own address. Scanners, email rules and cloud folders feed it, and you can forward or drop in anything yourself. Whatever lands there is filed within a couple of minutes, with its facts and dates pulled out.

An address per family or business

johnson-family-k7m2p9qx@in.thawed.app, or the business equivalent. Scanners from Brother and Epson can send straight to it with no computer in the loop.

A sender allowlist

Your own addresses are trusted from day one. Add a carrier or a bank by domain. Mail from anyone else waits in the Inbox as "from someone new" until you say yes.

Emails with no attachment count too

An e-receipt, an order confirmation, a policy notice with the details in the body: the email itself becomes the document.

Nothing is ever stuck

Anything Thaw is unsure of is filed with a "check this" flag and keeps moving. The Inbox shows where each arrival is.

Details

  • Upload from the browser, one file or many. Drag a folder and it becomes an import.
  • Forwarded mail keeps the original sender and date, so Thaw knows who sent it and when.
  • Issue a new address in one click if the old one leaks. The old one stops working immediately.
  • Your scanner gets a source of its own: point Thaw at the one folder it saves into, and every new scan is filed without bringing in the rest of the Drive. A Gmail or Outlook mailbox, or a Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive folder, is watched the same way. On an iPhone, the share sheet sends anything straight to Thaw.

What file types does it take?

PDF, photos and scans (JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, TIFF), Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, and plain text.

Is there a size limit?

Up to 1 GB per file from the browser or the app; by email, whatever your mail service allows.

What happens to spam?

Mail from an address that is not on your allowlist is held, not filed. You accept the sender once, or delete it.
